Black & White sunset

Black and white. As almost forgotten monochrome movie format. In fashion, however, it’s a hot-button. Little black dress by unforgettable Chanel, white Yves Saint Laurent tuxedos, - classics that is always with you. It’s inspiring up to these days. Both colors are equally significant and expressive, that’s why they are even better when presented on the contrast, on their color compromise. Try a geometric black and white dress and it will work like an antidepressant J

I added a little bit of history into my outfit, made the accent on the ruffle collar – symbol of the many bygone epochs, and puffy sleeve design.

Черный и белый. Как давно забытый монохромный формат кинематографа. А в моде актуальный, как никогда.  Романтизм ушедшей эпохи.Маленькое черное платье от Chanel, белый таксидо от  Yves Saint Laurent, - классика, которая вдохновляет всегда, она живет с тобой вместе с магнетическим духом Парижа.

Оба цвета универсальны, они не спорят друг с другом, они давно заключили мировое соглашение.

Каждый сам по себе выразителен , а воедино действуют как эффективный антидепрессант. Однако лучге всего играть на одном контрасте – пусть преобладает или белый, или черный. Иначе цветовой компромисс может быть так и не найден, и образ легко может перейти в категорию каламбура.

В основу своего образа я подключила детского персонажа Пьеро. Немного юмора над самой собой совсем не помешает !

                     You have to be really careful with any animal print, as you know. I tried. I really did. However, I still took a risk and put two leopard-print accessories together. In my defense they are both very dark, chocolate brown color, so it's not that bad!)))) The photos do not do the justice, because we had a great sunny day, and it was just not possible to find any shadow!!! )
                   I added some coral-pink top to get away from the jungles :), and one of my favorite necklaces so far ...kind of a playful and girly outfit to begin with...Hope you had a great weekend like I did, and stayed warm!

Christmas mode

Just a short post to say hello & thank you for all your comments, emails & questions. New year is a fresh page and a great start, I hope it will be brighter  than the past one! Have a sunny warm weekend and enjoy your time with the people you love and care!

December geometry

In the winter time we are craving for bright colors, we need them desperately, definately more, than in the summer, where all the joucy berry colors are naturally around you. I can't believe it's December already, waiting for Christmas & New Year like a little kid, still hoping for fairy snow at midnight, snowflakes landing on my face, anticipating  semi-sweet champagne, melting in my mouth, creamy dessert and sweet kiss at midnight! It's still two more busy weeks of planning, running around, Christmas rush, that is so exciting... And for now I'm keeping myself warm in my cozy long jacket, geometric print dress and a new floral necklace, that reminds me of summer and makes a day brighter. Happy holidays, everyone, and happy preparations!!!

Зимой тоже хочется яркости, в сущности, еще больше, чем летом! Декабрь-месяц, даже не верится!- и вот мы снова украшаем елку, верим и не верим, что пойдет снег в полночь, что шампанское обязательно будет полу-сладким, а подарки придутся всем по душе...
Вперели недели две суетных приготовлений, а пока можно согреть душу новым ожерельем, ярким и солнечным, в цветочном исполнении, которое поднимает температуру воздуха на градусов 10-15, а настроение еще выше!
Коричневые ботфорты долго пылились в шкафу и при первом похолодании рады были вырваться на свободу, простое геометрическое платье,уютный жакет, вот так утепляясь,  приближаемся к любимым праздникам, которых ждешь, как в дестве, находясь в поиске того самого совершенного платья, в котором рядом с любимым встречаешь Новогоднее волшебство...

Citrous brocade

Here comes the fall - the kingdom of pomegranate and sun-kissed shades,  the kingdom of baroque and pampered luxury. Brocade trend is overpowering in D&G, Versace, Ralph Lauren fall-winter collections! For centuried it has been a symbol of power and  wealth, association of grandeur and always something spectacular,like the spirit of Persia or Byzantine Empire...
I got this brocade skirt and matching clutch as my birthday present from my mom, who made it with her own hands,  from something completely lost and forgotten in my "left behind closet". She  always creates true masterpieces that are so special and dear to my heart...Beautiful floral skirt pattern, made of silk metallic threads that almost smell like lime or lemon!
You have to be careful while choosing the proper "partner" for the brocade piece to avoid looking vulgar and inappropriate. I decided to put on a simple violet top, made of cotton, and to top it off with the jacket, coming from the same family as the skirt - citrous one...Thus, brocade and leather can be harmoniously put together into ensemble that came all the way from Belarus and ended up here, in the USA...Thank you, mom! :)

Наступила осень - царство гранатовых и солнечных полутонов, царство барокко, как будто усталой роскоши, немного изнеженной после яркого лета. Парча затмевает коллекции D&G, Versace, Ralph Lauren...преславутая нарядная ткань всегда ассоциируется у меня с чем-то пышным, грандиозным, духом Персии, Византии...не зря парча на протяжении долгих веков была признана  символом власти и богатства во многих странах.
 К моему дню рождению я получила драгоценный подарок от мамы - парчовую юбку и в дополнение к ней клатч...Руки мамы всегда создают шедевры, превращая старое в новое, избитое в модное, давно забытое - в любимое...Нежный цветочный узор из металлических нитей семейства цитрусовых, лимона и лайма, капель росы и пылинок жимолости.
При выборе парчи в образе следует быть осторожным, чтобы не показаться вульгарным. Я выбрала простой фиалковый топ и кожаный жакет, оттеняющий вкусный блеск юбки, но не затмевающий ее. Вот так, с моей точки зрения, горячие тренды сезона - парча и кожа - могут гармонично звучать вместе....Романс, спетый мамой в Белоруссии и услышанный мной за океанами здесь, в Америке...

Burgundy sunset

 

 

 

 Burgundy skirt, so rich in the colour, like ripe joucy apples or pomegranates,  full of antioxidant power and fall transformation!!!:) It's feminine, flirty and "straight-to-the-business". It will never loose its leading role in the fashion society, it's true inspiration to many designers up to this day!
May I present you it here in combination with my favourite Ralph Lauren ruffled top, accented with a vintage brooch, that reminds me of great travelling in St. Augustine and antique window-shopping.  Lovely studed shoes spike up the attire's attitude a bit,  nude in the front, they still look soft and classy.
Strolling along old city, breathing autumn-cold air, watching fall leaves jump up & down, looking for harmony and saying farewell to the bright hot summer. We part not for long.....

Юбка с привкусом граната в сочетании с любимой клеткой дружно шагают ногу в ногу... Юбка - карандаш никогда не сдаст своей позиции, востребованная и воспетая многими дизайнерами, она продолжает покорять новые модные подиумы и свободное пространство в моем гардеробе. Винтажная брошь, отголосок былой роскоши, - небольшой акцент на классическом жабо.
          Прогулка по старому городу, новая осенняя прохлада, волнующий бриз с пристани, и листья , то в виртуозном танце, то повергнутые навзничь, то молодецким вихрем сорвавшиеся с места в едином порыве в поиске нового пристанища, нового порыва! Немножко грустно - все же осень, все же увядание, но только на минуту...природа замирает.. , но только для того, чтобы возродиться снова..)
